Jeanne Kotze Louw
“SUBTERRA”
6 November - 24 November 2004

Jeanne Kotze Louw, the well-known and seasoned artist, exhibits a collection of hand-painted ceramics in the Mackie Street Mini Art Gallery of the Association of Arts Pretoria from 6 November to 24 November 2004. The exhibition is opened by Professor Marinus Wiechers on Saturday 6 November at 17:30 for 18:00.

At the same occasion, the Mini Art Gallery will be dedicated to the memory of Carl and Emily Fuchs for their generous sponsorship of the Arts Association.

The artist calls her exhibition Subterra. Her works, all showing superb draughtsmanship, take a delightful and not too serious leap into the phantasmagoria of the subconscious.

Mythical fishmen from the depths of fantasy and dream, rhythmically dance and swirl to puzzle and intrigue the onlooker.

This is a small and exquisite exhibition to titillate the hidden reaches of the innermost mind.
