 Co-Creating With Materials12 March 2025 Participating: Caitlin le Roux This exhibition, presented in partial fulfilment of the Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts, investigates the artist-material relationship within the context of a relational experimental printmaking practice. This body of work considers creative responsibility as shared among all forces and material bodies involved in the act of making. Through a practice-led, explorative approach, the works offer insight into the reactive and responsive nature of creative practice, where material and artist meet in an emerging dialogue of gesture, resistance and chance. The process of working with and following materials becomes the determining factor of the artworks created, and the materials, ever-participatory and transformative, embed their interactions as marks and impacts upon surfaces in their becoming.
