Artists collected the prompt without prior knowledge of the form of the prompt or exhibition theme. The prompt revolved around the theme 'flower', which also informs the title of the exhibition. (The upcoming image provides a glimpse of the prompt).
The exhibition sets out to evaluate to what extent the curatorial brief can truly 'direct' an artist's work, considering if the 'curatorial' has become so broadly obtuse, that any work can be submitted to theme. All artists were thus required to produce new work towards the exhibition, specifically created in response to the received prompt. VENUE: |
