Public performance held at the Bag Factory, Newtown, Johannesburg, 2004. I built an altar out of three layers of glass, bricks and mixed materials on the streets of Johannesburg – performing ritual actions with materials, such as honey, flour, wheat, mealies, ash, water, chalk and a raw ox tongue - before setting it alight and throwing an African buffalo skull into it (shattering the altar and completing the performance).
