Encounters with the (im)material4 April 2023 Participating: Various artists This exhibition explores the ways in which the material and immaterial are connected in the museum. The interrelations between artworks, artists, curators, audiences and ideas are highlighted by presenting artworks from the Wits Art Museum holdings that explore matter, spirituality, agency, and music.
Questions about how audiences might understand the relationship between the seen, the invisible, and the audible are explored in a site-specific, interactive sound installation by Cameron Harris in collaboration with the curator.
