Framing The Body In Motion Opening: 5 November 2026 at 18:00 - 5 November 2026 Participating: Kamogelo Machaba An Evening with Joburg Ballet, Kamogelo Machaba & BAM Collective.
To mark Joburg Ballet's 25th anniversary, Candice Berman Gallery presents Framing the Body in Motion, a photographic exhibition, by acclaimed South African photographer Kamogelo Machaba.
The opening is a rare chance to meet everyone behind the work. The dancers of Joburg Ballet, the designers of BAM Collective, Artistic Director Dane Hurst and Machaba herself will join us for an intimate Q&A about how the project came together and what it means for the company and the city.
Presented in partnership with Fujifilm, the evening celebrates Johannesburg's dancers and the non-profit company that has shaped them for a quarter of a century.
