The Museum houses two collections of international importance. On the one hand, the collection of art from Africa and Oceania, presented in an exceptional museographic platform. On the other hand, the archaeological collection which allows to evoke the history of Charente, from geological times to the medieval period. As for the fine arts collection, it allows to present a sample of very beautiful European paintings from the 17th century to the 19th century as well as remarkable ceramics and ancient weapons.
