South African artist Maritha van Amerom uses her fascination in the human body/human condition to create mixed media artworks using oils, paper, feathers, inks, cotton etc.

"To sense this sublime...to capture or express something thereof...in th?t lies the fulfillment for me as an artist," states van Amerom.

Van Amerom has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout South Africa and her work forms part of collections worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Netherlands, Ireland and Scotland. She has been a finalist in the Thami Mnyele Fine Art Awards (2014) and SPI Portrait Awards (top 150, 2015).
