Nervous Breakdown - an exhibition of chairs

THEFOURTH is happy to present its first timed online auction, featuring a vast selection of 20th century and archive chairs, currently on show at its second gallery space in Cape Town, SpaceBy THEFOURTH. The new venture is a cultural platform and project space initiated by their team with the aim of hosting curated cultural events and providing space for inspiring artistic and creative initiatives.

Currently live and running until 28 August, 2021 at 12:00, the timed auction is open to the public and the exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 - 17:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 - 14:00. Amongst many other notable designs, our selection includes rare pieces by Brazilian designers Percival Lafer and Jean Gillion, as well as iconic vintage chairs by Charles & Ray Eames, Charlotte Perriand and Alvar Aalto.
