Three dimensional paper cut sculpture by Daniel du Preez

Posted on 8 February 2018

Daniel du Preez transforms flat sheets of paper into three dimensional hypnotic patterned artworks. The artworks are the result of the carefully hand cutting of delicate papers creating unusual shapes inspired by unseen organisms, cells and atoms that surrounds us in our daily lives. Layers and colours create portals into new unknown universes and different dimensions.

"I like to surprise my audience by providing an unusual shape that is almost hypnotic to view using paper as an unexpected medium to send the brain into an unknown pattern of thinking that will change the outcome of its reality completely," explains Du Preez.
