About the classesLaurette de Jager is a Visual Art Lecturer, who holds a MA in Visual Arts (Unisa) (Cum Laude), ND in Jewellery Design & Manufacture (CPUT) and an NHD In Jewellery Design and Manufacture (CPUT). Laurette is currently working toward her PhD in Art through Unisa. She has been teaching drawing, design, and painting from her home-based studio in Boston, Bellville since 2009. Her aim with the Visual Arts Courses is to teach, mentor and inspire aspiring artists (from beginners to advanced) to grow in technique, as well as concept, all while doing so in a relaxed atmosphere. She presents semester as well as year courses both in contact classes as well as online. The goal is to teach without the student feeling pressured to perform, while enjoying the process of making art. The class group environment provides a safe space to develop your skills.
