...AND THEN ONE MORNING THE GROUND SHIFTED A solo exhibition by Anna-Carien Goosen
We try to prosper and create order, yet are often surprised by curveballs beyond our control. Life is fragile, and it is intriguing that we experience fragile things as beautiful.
The most beautiful sunrises I`ve seen, were on the two mornings driving to the hospital; to watch my mother die; and then my sister`s baby die. As a family we softly sang together and waited. Afterwards we drank good coffee... There are so many experiences in life that can only be described as surreal.
