An overview of art societies in South Africa Art Exhibition (first Saturday and Sunday monthly) has been in existence for nearly 60 years and is the largest open air art exhibition of fine art in all media. Established in 1991, the Howick Arts Society hosts monthly meetings, The Asselberg Cup, regular exhibitions at various venues and workshops. The Miniature Art Society of South Africa promotes and encourages all artists interested in miniature fine art.
