Recurring Momentos Series

In the series 'Recurring Momentos' work done in the early 1990s, I explored theatre as a metaphorical tool of expression. Still-life narratives of portraits and objects were staged and juxtaposed with interior motifs. These works addressed the experience of migration and 'the plight of the refugee'.

The artworks take the form of non-verbal theatre, reminiscent of tableaux art.
