Glass on show: the Glass Safari 2026 Exhibition opens at the
Association of Arts Pretoria

Pretoria, South Africa — The Moya African Glass Network (MAGN) invites the public to the
Glass Safari 2026 Exhibition, Past, Present, Future — the closing showcase of its
international glass-art biennale. The exhibition opens at the Association of Arts Pretoria on
Saturday 25 July 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, and runs until 15 August. Entry is free and open
to the public.

The exhibition brings together works that trace the breadth of contemporary glass art in
Southern Africa and beyond: pieces by leading South African glass artists, work by the
international artists who joined Glass Safari 2026, and new work created during the biennale’s
three project weeks in Pretoria and at Ngwenya in eSwatini. A collective display of graal works,
a glass-jewellery showcase and a presentation of student work complete the show. Throughout
the opening, visitors can watch live hot-glass demonstrations at the working furnace — a
chance to meet the makers and see some of the international guest artists shaping glass first
hand.
