FynArts Festival Artist 2023

In this exhibition, Paula Louw focuses on the minutiae of the tiny, fascinating details of both natural and mechanical objects as well as on the grand sweep of features such as mountain and shoreline.

She looks at things that have fallen apart and then deconstructs and transforms them. In trying to make sense of things, she has moved into new ways of seeing, putting together unlikely parts and media to create a different whole.

Paula has rearranged their components to create something new which holds within them a sense of time, history and often forgotten memories.
